Enhancing protection from rape and other forms of Sexual Gender Based violence among families with physical disabilities in Liberia.
As cases of Rape and Gender base violence increase by the day with in Liberia, It has become necessary to raise awareness among families with disabilities who are one of the vulnerable segments living as invisible being in communities.
The workshop brought together more than one hundred and fifty physically disabled families, Resident of more than 10 communities in Montserrado county.
The one day dialogue focuses on helping family with disability not to compromise Rape and Gender Based violence cases with in their various communities, how they can protect their younger ones in educating then at home on SGBV and harmful traditional practices with in our society by joining hands with the government international partners and local CSO organizations in bringing an end to rape and other forms of domestic violence with in our country.
The training section which provided tips on pathway to justice and protection, was facilitated by MR TAMBA JOHNSON the founder and COE of the HE FOR SHE CRUSEDER LIBERIA .
The dialogue concluded with a special remark form DEKAP-LIBERIA executive director Madam HELENA WENNEH along with an interactive section with questions and answers from participant and facilitator.
