Testimonials

I am Leah a child of a poor disabled family, I'm excited as she joined other needy children on the Child Education Sponsorship Program from (DEKAP) in 2014. Since then my life is been transformed from just accompanying me disabled father into the streets to beg alms for daily survival to the classroom in preparation for brighter future. Today, because of the sponsorship program I am a happy child focused on my education which ismy ladder to break free from the vicious circle of poverty.

Client Since 1995

Victoria, a partially slighted disabled teenager was brought to our office in 2014 by her both parents who are visually ( blind) disabled to appealed for an opportunity to educate their child who has been used to accompany them at street corners to beg alms for survival. Looking beyond the disability of their child, the request was granted Eventho Victoria lost her father later and her mother had to relocate to the rural part of Liberia with her siblings but Victoria has been doing extremely well in her studies and is hopeful of a promising future. She's no longer a street beggar but a student striving to achieve her dreams.

No child chooses to be an orphan and no parent chooses to die leaving their child/ children defenseless and vulnerable. That's the reality Helena, 14 and her siblings are living with losing both parents since 2014 when I joined the Child Education Sponsorship Program at 9 the story of me is never the same. Today, I have an opportunity and am enrolled at a nearby community school preparing for the future ahead. Thanks to (DEKAP)!
